Brent Christensen is an artist who creates real life massive ice castles. Christensen has a crew of about 20 or so members and builds these structures by forming icicles that require millions of gallons of water. With some even reaching heights of 25 feet which contain stairs, archways, tunnels, and can be illuminated at night with multi-colored LED lights.
This pictures are amazing! I went to tour an ice castle in Steamboat Springs and I was astonished when they told me how they build it. They have to weave icicles together and then they have a sprinkler system that allows more icicles to freeze on the ones they weaved. Thanks for sharing!
I appreciate highly this kind of art. In Finland we have
World’s Biggest Snow Castle.
Inside there is also ice art.
Happy blogging!
