Gallery is proud to present their latest exhibition of a very under the radar artist named Leighton Kelly who is based in Oakland called “All of the Things” which opened this past Saturday, July 15th. Our man Mear One recently sent over a new piece called “Planet X” which was recently exhibited at the Lightning in a Bottle Festival (@LIBfestival). He describes this work as being “a mythological gumbo of global mythology that predates our written history” referencing various celestial events documented by the Ancient Greek, Vedic, Sumerian, Egyptian, Native American, Tibetan, Chinese, Nordic protocultures. Our friends over at Athen B. Gallery, just started a series of 4 walls with the city of San Leandro, CA. First up is Oakland Artist Kelly Ording. The mural is compiled of 5 different reds that break apart the bright blue background. The mural itself brings a lot of life into a neighborhood that lacks color.

Athen B. Gallery is excited to announce “Nobody, Everybody” a duo exhibition featuring the new works of Chicago’s Laura Berger and Oakland’s Sarah Bowser. This exhibition is compiled of paintings on panels, free standing ceramic sculptures, paper-cut/collages and paper sculptures.
Both Laura and Sarah will be present for the opening reception on March 11th at 7pm. We’re conveniently located just off both 12th and 19th Street Bart Stations in Downtown Oakland.
