Alex Achaval is currently living and working in Seattle and has just opened a own small gallery/studio in Pike place market called Artificial Gallery. Her work can be described in many different categories but Achaval hereself would simply define it as “Contemporary Portraiture.”
The Puerto Rican based film producer Tostfilms focuses on the documentation of urban art in the process. The artist Mario E. Ramirez Capellá travels to different parts of the world for documenting urban space interventions with urban artists to capture the moment of creating art and to appreciate different perspectives. Recently, TostFilms held an exhibition by David Zayas entitled “”Murālis: exposicion de muralismo contemporáneo” which was dedicated to displaying the beauty of mural arts indoors. One of our favourite dudes and past interviewee, LX ONE, has just come out with a new project entitled “40 Jours.” The project is an abstract and temporary art installation, taking 40 days to create. It will return to dust. A house before it’s renovation becomes a play ground to experiment with throughout.
