As part of project ‘DOES does’ DOES searches for crazy ‘DOES does’ spots all over the world. In this episode DOES ended up in Heerlen, a city in the deep south of Holland. The colouring and flavour of DOES brought back life to the grey and industrial environment that was once a Philips factory. Just when you thought DOES couldn’t do that, he did…just because he can. Get it? Can! With special thanks to C-Mill and Ironlak. Camera & editing | Simon Bus + Music | Subp Yao.
When husband and wife art/design duo Jason and Sharon Gale (Quite British Accent) began working together, someone told them that sport had no place in art. Rather than take heed, the couple produce all their work using the visual vocabulary of sporting culture. Their latest collection, exhibited recently at Core at Nolias Gallery, includes a series of textile slogans appliquéd onto vintage football shirts. The work satirises the sport-in-art argument and likens popular culture heroes to sporting heroes.

These journeys were documented by cameraman Stephan Polman. Rube Parthoens helps to edit the footage and Blankeroy finds the perfect tune to match the respective city. The results of the project will be shown during an exhibition on April 5, 6 and 7 in Melbourne.
“Dutch graffiti artist Does, recently went on a trip to France for the Chelles Battle Pro Festival. He is the co-founder of the LoveLetters crew and a member of the Ironlak Europe Team. His ridiculous technical ability make his work nearly unparalleled today. On his blog he shared his thoughts and photos from his recent trip.” -12ozProphet
