Photographers Pierre Javelle and Akiko Ida have created a series of humorous dioramas that depict miniature people going about daily activities in an world made up of edible ojects. The project entitled MINIMIAM, which is a play on words that marries miniature and “yummy.” The project has been ongoing since 2002 and was inspired by the married couple’s profession as commercial food photographers.
Dorota Pankowska is a young street artist from Brampton, Ontario, Canada who is creating magnificent street art work from household products. The artist is creating logos on walls and objects of companies using their very own products (i.e. Gilette logo out of shaving cream). Some blogs out there are calling the Pankowska “Food Banksy”.
Spanish photographer Esther Lobo, aka FahLoSue, has created a new oproject known simply as “Rorschach”. The Madrid-based photographer uses various food items to create works of art inspired by Rorschach inkblot tests.
