Detroit-based Library Street Collective is pleased to announce SYSTEMS, a solo exhibition by Jason REVOK and the gallery’s second in a series of LA-based shows. Opening on October 22nd, their Mid-City space will be filled with Williams’ hypnotic, large-scale paintings on canvas and metal that present the physical and conceptual disintegration of structures. The show features beautiful painting and drawing work by Cyr which is rooted in the graffiti and street art landscape of Montreal. Our friend Klaas Van der Linden has recently unveiled his new exhibition “VOYAGE” at Blanco Gallery in Ghent, Belgium. The new solo show contains more than 20 NEW Paintings By Klaas Van der Linden. and opened last week October 7th and is on view until this Sunday the 16th. If you’re in Ghent definitely go check it out!
Fine artist Kiel Johnson currently has some work with Mark Dean Veca on display at the Jaus Gallery in Los Angeles. One of the pieces by Johnson on view is a brilliant laser sculpture created out of wood that allows the viewers to interact with it as if it were the real deal. Cyr’s first solo show in Montreal pays Hommage to what gives the city its unique & vibrant character. This new series of paintings uses the imagery of Montreal’s modern day workhorses to talk about the space : “One can tell a lot about an area by the types of vehicles seen on its streets”.
The opening will be Thursday, September 29th 2016 from 6 – 9 PM. Don’t miss this one if you’re in Montreal on those dates.
