Dove – Real Beauty Sketches [Parody]

Though not entirely in the art realm of our usual posts. We thought that this not only fit under the umbrella of the arts but was super hilarious. Dove recently came out with an advertisement entitled “Real Beauty Sketches” where a forensic artist would sketches women how they see themselves and how others see themselves. Well, here we have a parody of the ad, where a forensic artist sketches men’s family jewels how they see them and how others do too.

Ed Mironiuk – GH-05-T

Steve Powers “Visual Blues” @ Alice Gallery in Brussels

Steve Powers aka “Espo” just opened a new solo show on May 18, 2013, entitled “Visual Blues” at Alice Gallery in Brussels. In Powers’s own words, “I’m in awe of the power and the reach of music. To compete with the majesty of music, I make paintings that are visual blues. I distill my everyday experience into paintings I call Daily Metaltations. They are painted very fast, fresh from the epiphanies that inspired them.
