Our man MEOR has been killing it out in Japan, where he recently got down on a jam at the Montana Shop & Gallery in Tokyo. The graffiti jam that happened two weeks ago and MEOR hooked us up with some exclusive flicks of his work alongside YESCA, KOME, SNIPE, DVATE, and ENDECK. Multidisciplinary artist James Jean will unveil a new body of work in a solo exhibit at Tokyo’s Hidari Zingaro Gallery on debuting this Saturyda, November 7th. Jean’s latest body of work consists of a variety of mixed media drawings on paper accompanied by a large painting on copper plates and features his signature Japanese inspired illustrative aesthetic.
On October 30th, the San Francisco based punk rock quilter Ben Venom will unveil a new series of work in his debut exhibition “Don’t Tread on Me” in Japan at hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO. His new body of work features hand-crafted quilts from his signature rock t-shirts, as well as new pieces using recycled fabrics.
A Japanese artist who goes by the name of “Flame” creates unbelievable illustration work. Though there’s little information we seem to be able to find, we’ve stumbled across the artist’s Tumblr page which has an extensive archive of work. Flame’s work seems to be a mix of art nouveau, manga and the artist’s own personal aesthetic.
