Tadas Sidlauskas is a 23 year old Lithuanian painter. His work consists of both, realistic and abstract elements and works mainly with oil paints. His what Sidlauskas has to say about his work:

“Every piece of art I create is personal to me for different reasons. While creating the work, I’m more interested in conveying mood and emotion than simply trying to copy the exact scene or idea that I have in my head. I use color, ornamentation, abstract shapes, human figures and other elements to build an emotional connection with the viewer. I spend a lot of time traveling and it heavily affects my art.”

Ray Bartkus – Upside Down Mural in Lithuania

Ray Bartkus was recently invited to paint a building in Lithuania, where the Brooklyn based artist painted an incredible upside down mural that is perfectly reflected by the Šešupė River which runs alongside it. Bartkus’ piece was a part of the Malonny Project by the artist and his friends, which supports bringing art to overlooked smaller town communities.
