Graffiti artist Roid of the MSK crew recently was out in Hong Kong where he got busy on a cube truck. The British artist used his spray cans like a stippling brush, where he painted tiny little dots on the piece to ad shade and dimension. Roid has long been known for innovative techniques and this is no different.
Prolific graffiti artist Rime is set to unveil a new series of works at the Jonathan Levine Gallery for an upcoming solo exhibition entitled “Conclusions.” The show will feature a number of new mixed media illustrations and paintings featuring bold colours and the Jersey Joe characters we all know and love. Legendary graffiti writers Saber and Zes both recently teamed up on a mural in downtown Los Angeles. The writers worked side by side with their unique and expressive styles to bring together another brilliant and colourful mural entitled “Preseverare.” The people over at Chop Em Down Films got a chance to document the piece from start to finish. Recently the Los Angeles graffiti legend Risk MSK finished a mural presented by LeBasse Projects at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. The vibrant new piece featuring his signature expressive style is part of the OUTSIDEIN exhibition, which is an indoor and outdoor exhibition that focuses graffiti-inspired mural work.
An opening reception is scheduled for next month (October 8th, 6-10pm) and the exhibition will span both of ArtCenter’s campuses, the Hillside Campus and the South Campus. Definitely check it out if you’re around the institution at that time. More flix after the jump!
