Shane O’Malley began as a Graffiti writer and still paints walls, although his developing practice as an artist has led to a variance and evolution in the content of his murals. Street Art remains a central priority and passion to the artist. He has an extensive catalogue of Graffiti art and outdoor paintings, which he adds to on a regular basis.
Belo Horizonte is hosting its first mural festival and the third of its kind in Brazil. From July 26th to August 6th CURA – Urban Art Circuit aims to transform the landscape of BH, rescuing the trajectory of urban art in the city and recognizing its current dimension and strength in the country and in the world. Inviting five national and international artists with experience painting large-scale murals, such as Thiago Mazza and Priscila Amoni, from Belo Horizonte; the Acidum Project from Fortaleza, formed by the artists Tereza Dequinta and Robézio Marqs; and the Spanish artist Marina Capdevilla that is visiting Brazil for the first time.
