Here we have a BMW R65 custom scrambler. Built by Italian motorcycle mechanic Frank from Moto Sumisura in Pavia, Italy.
Didn’t get too much info on this puppy but it damn looks funky as all hell. We bet this Honda CB 550 Gulf Le Mans Cafè Racer rips hard.
Damn it’s been far too long that we’ve done one of these. According to BikeExif this is what they say about the bike: “This is the bike that El Solitario cut their teeth on: It was created for the Metamorfosis Masiva, a Spanish garage builders’ contest. There were just two rules: the donor bike had to be an SR250, and you were only allowed to spend €1,000 on parts—around US$1,300.”
Beautiful modified bike by Benjie’s Cafe Racers. Some info about it is, Project name: “Pinas 550″. The bike originated as: 1973 Honda CB 550. The Engine: In-line 4 550cc and modifications were: Clip-on bars, rear sets, custom hand fabricated gas tank with matching seats, battery relocation, 4 into 2 pea shooter exhausts, break scoop, battery relocation, etc.
This unbelievably beautiful bike was built by Phil Lemon and apparently took about 8 years to slowly piece together. Well, we have to say it was definitely worth the time and elbow grease because this is a serious prize. Way to go Phil!
Wow, we haven’t done one of these in a while and we’re disappointed in ourselves. We promise they will begin to come back. We’ve just been consumed with the amazing art and design going on these days! But on that case, we’ve got an amazing BMW Cafe Racer to tide you over. Happy Monday!
