Tanner Frady is a signage artist hailing from Oklahoma City. Frady who creates incredible artwork ranging from classic typography based lettering to American traditional tattoo inspired imagery.
Alongside our pals over at Fresh Paint Gallery and the Under Pressure Festival in Montreal, we are proud to announce that the traveling exhibition “Out For Fame” will be shown next month in Toronto. The graffiti inspired typography exhibition features an eclectic mix of artists from all over the globe and will be on display at Goodfellas Gallery in Parkdale. The infamous Los Angeles based graffiti and tattoo artist Mister Cartoon was in Toronto for the Manifesto Festival. Mr. Cartoon headlined the show that featured a number of great artists gracing the walls of the Steamwhistle Brewery downtown. On top of the art inside the building, vendors set up tables and there was live tattooing and graffiti painting outside. Tons of great photos by Naz Goshtasbpour after the jump!
We here at BBB were lucky enough to get out there this past weekend in the blazing summer sun to film graffiti/tattoo artists Mozy and Rewsr painting a flash art inspired mural in Toronto.
Jessica Harrsion‘s research considers the relationship between interior and exterior spaces of the body, but looks neither inwards towards a hidden core, nor outwards from the subconscious, instead looking orthogonally across the skin to the movement of the body itself, using the surface of the body as a mode of both looking and thinking.
A short film Directed by Alex Nicholson which explores the accounts of the life of a man named “Duncan X.” Throughout the video Duncan X tells his story his tattoos slowly appear across his body.
