Our friends Jarus and Jsnp got busy on a massive wall in the Liberty Village area of Toronto this past summer. Spanning a few stories high and featuring one of Jarus’ brilliant figures and Jsnp’s geometrical background elements, the talented Peter Guzda documented the whole thing for your viewing pleasure. Peep the video below.
Andy Kittmer is a Self Taught Artist that hails from a small town in south-western Ontario just outside of London and Stratford. He’s been drawing for as long as he can remember and did his first art show at a young age which sparked his interest in becoming an artist.
He has always been inspired by comics such as “Spawn” and in growing up got into graffiti and started to get some interest in it from potential buyers, at which time he turned to doing them on canvas! After that he began to dabble with all sorts of different mediums!
He then began an apprenticeship in Automotive Painting, doing airbrushing, pinstriping, signpainting and gilding!
He has now come full circle back to where it started and is doing a mixture of all the things learned along the way. His artwork fuses Illustration, with the colors of the graffiti and automotive world.

A Love Letter to the Great Lakes mural festival in Toronto was the first fresh water edition of PangeaSeed Foundation’s Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans project, which aims to bring awareness to issues surrounding our water resources, their inhabitants and those who depend on them. This week of art and activism was a collaboration with Hermann & Audrey, Montreal artist Jason Botkin and an amazing group of organizers and change makers to create large scale public art in the form of murals in the theme of fresh water protection, centred around the neighbourhoods of Queen West and Ossington Ave, Queen West and Spadina Ave, and the lower Don River.
As part of our contribution to Toronto’s first ever large scale mural festival, we present our own love letter to the lakes, the artists, and all involved in making this project a reality. Please enjoy.
