Liqen – New Mural in Kiev, Ukraine

Spanish artist Liqen was recently invited out to Kiev to paint a massive new piece on a building on Bratislavskaya street. Here’s what the artist had to say about the piece:

“Convinced that art and healing are to be found in the deep observation of nature and not only in books (today we can say on the Internet), this Titan of cosmic order, son of his time and his constellation, embarked on a long journey distant skies, initiating a return to the “garden of the womb”; a universe that care is infinitely repeated, like a matryoshka, as the bodies of their Scythian ancestors. During this trip that lasted decades had to face powerful forms of mortal life and immortal with a single olympics, taking care the steps of osiric space belongs.(Which proves my faithfulness and character of this conception of the inner cosmos, the existence of the universe within us.)

In a mutation process that lasted several centuries his head became ceramic planter (pot), when their enemies heard of this state it was too late to attack him, had carried his soul to Sirius guided by a beetle with two heads, this pot contains the same space that absorbs and expels turn dark matter, where there are enigmatic connections between his past and a future not yet lived on and eventually will become in memory of the beloved, an empty kingdom that will be transplanted through the crude and naked love for something that has not a particular way and all at once. Without much more than simple ideograms ornaments of ancient nomads rites, his skull finally turns into the container desire of extrasensory memory of all time. This titanic effort to join again created two bodies one being, a kind of “spagyric” of thought,… but we must also understand and accept the previous suffering, that moment of beheading and disunity as a vital step time, a conflict that will bring calm development cycles.”

25 Abandoned Yugoslavian Monuments

25 Abandoned Yugoslavian Monuments That Look Like They’re From The Future – “These structures were commissioned by former Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito in the 1960s and 70s to commemorate sites where WWII battles took place (like Tjentište, Kozara and Kadinjača), or where concentration camps stood (like Jasenovac and Niš).
